Hot Fix
In the coming days we will be releasing an update that addresses various issues. Details will be available on the patch notes. Thank you for your patience with the issues we introduced with the Summer Patch!
Nintendo Switch Release
While we don’t have a release date to share yet, we want to assure you that it’s coming very soon. We know so many of you have been waiting for Circuit Superstars to release on this loveliest and coziest of platforms – we are SO excited to get this to your hands this year. The wait won’t be much longer.
Mysterious DLC
We’ve been working hard and having a ton of fun on a DLC for Circuit Superstars that, in a very playful way, brings a whole new kind of experience to the game. We can’t wait to share details of this with you very soon. Stay tuned!
The Future
We have been thinking a lot about where our efforts should go next, and two things have been raised to the top of our priorities:
Net Code
The first thing that we have decided to prioritize now that other responsibilities have been tackled is net-physics improvements investigations. We know POV differences and lag create frustration, especially among those of you who love close competition. This has been perhaps the most complex challenge we have faced throughout development of Circuit Superstars, and while we’ve made improvements, we know it could be better. John will be diving into an investigation, and we hope to have you playtesting improvements before the new year.
Modding
We have heard your strong desire to be able to create content for Circuit Superstars. So we are beginning to investigate what modding can look like. This conversation is in early stages, but of course this is a community feature, so as soon as we have more thoughts and direction, we will share this to get your feedback.
Lastly, it’s been almost a year since we released Circuit Superstars officially, and what a year it has been. To be frank, it has been an absolute emotional rollercoaster for our team at the studio. Alas, a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor. Thanks to you and our partners, our boat keeps on sailing, and its an honor to continue to have you on board.
